Our day retreats introduce the eight types of rest for true renewal.
Whether through mindful walking, leadership development, or immersive nature therapy, we guide you toward a more balanced, resilient and thriving life.
Nature immersion and our 8-phase framework
Nature immersive experiences are guided activities in natural environments. They can also be guided experiences that use natural aspects as part of an enhanced therapeutic process.
These activities enhance one’s health and wellbeing, deepen their connection to nature, and inspire pro-environmental behaviour.
Our 8-phase framework places equal value on human and environmental health to support an individual’s journey into self-exploration and self-awareness. By placing equal value on human and environmental health, individuals find deeper meaning and connection with their natural environments. In turn, they benefit with improved health and wellbeing and pay it forward by demonstrating pro-environmental behaviour for others to see and engage in.
Our 8-Phase framework is rooted in a multidimensional approach that includes principles of:
Ecopsychology – Becoming aware of the interconnectedness between human well-being and the vitality of the natural environment. Demonstrating that our disconnection from nature can lead to destruction of the natural world which in turn results in psychological distress.
Ecotherapy – Recognising the interconnectedness between human well-being and the health of the natural environment through experienced nature-based activities that reduce stress and anxiety and improve overall health and well-being.
Biophilia – Promoting a sense of harmony with the natural world by weaving our inherent affinity with it into our daily life, community and environmental systems.
Nature Connectedness – Addressing the nature deficit disorder by deepening the psychological sense of connection an individual feels with the natural world.
Sociology – Restructuring human social interactions to include nature-based interventions that impact an individual’s experience of nature and their overall health and wellbeing.
Ecology – Recognising that we are part of the natural world, not separate from it, through experiences that demonstrate the complex interactions between humans, all living organisms and the natural environment.
Forest Medicine – Addressing the impact of forest environments on human health trough nature immersive wellbeing activities.
Sustainable Forestry – Considering human reliance on forests not only as a commodity but as resource to be protected for the sake of healthy forest ecosystems and human health and wellbei
